- Käufe (Epische Edition, Trinkgeld) wickelt Google Play ab.

2. Summary
BuffBars stores your tasks only on your device. There is no user account, no server of our own and no analytics. The app is in contact with Google (as a third party) in three cases:
- When you open it, it asks the Google Play Store on your device whether you have made BuffBars purchases, so that a purchase is kept (section 5).
- Purchases (Epic Edition, tips) are handled by Google Play. The app never sees your payment details (section 5).
- Advertising data is only sent to Google if you voluntarily start the optional video ad (the “Time is money, friend!” offer) (section 6).
3. Data on your device
Tasks, categories, settings and your progress (experience points) are stored locally in the app and are not sent to us. This includes two yes/no values about purchases: whether the Epic Edition is unlocked and whether you wear the badge for a tip. If Android backup is enabled on your device, Android may back up this app data to your Google account; Google's terms apply. Uninstalling the app deletes the local data.
4. Notifications
If you choose, the app reminds you of due tasks. These notifications are created on the device; no data is transmitted. You can revoke the permission at any time in the Android settings.
5. Purchases through Google Play
The app offers two voluntary purchases: the Epic Edition (one-time purchase that permanently unlocks extra features) and tips (“Support the guild”; they unlock no feature, only a badge as a thank-you). You can use the app in full without buying anything.
- Processing: Purchase and payment are handled entirely by Google Play's billing system. You enter your payment details with Google. The controller for payment processing is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; the Google Play Terms of Service, the Google Payments Privacy Notice and the Google Privacy Policy apply.
- What the app sees: From Google Play the app only receives which product was bought, whether the purchase is paid or still pending, and a purchase identifier. The app uses this identifier to confirm the purchase with Google Play or to mark a tip as redeemed. The identifier is not stored. The app does not receive payment details such as card or account numbers, your name or your email address.
- What the app stores: only the two yes/no values from section 3.
- Check when you open the app: Each time you open the app, it asks the Google Play Store on your device which BuffBars purchases exist for your Google account. This keeps a purchase after a reinstall and takes refunds into account. Google processes this request as part of your Google Play account; nothing is sent to us.
- What we receive as the seller: Google provides us with order and billing data, in particular the order number, product, price, date, status (e.g. refunded), device model and the buyer's country, region and postcode. We do not receive your payment details. We use this data only to handle purchases (for example refunds or questions) and for accounting and tax.
- Legal basis: performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for keeping billing data, our legal retention obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). For the check when you open the app, where you have bought nothing: our legitimate interest in reliably keeping purchases and applying refunds (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Transfers outside the EU: Google may transfer data to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Advertising (optional video ad)
The app offers a voluntary video ad that unlocks extra features for a limited time. Only when you tap this offer is the advertising service Google AdMob of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, loaded. Without that tap, no data is sent to AdMob.
- Data processed: the device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information (e.g. model, operating system, language) and interactions with the ad.
- Purpose: serving and measuring ads, fraud prevention and – only with your consent – personalised ads.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; for accessing information on your device, such as the advertising ID, also Section 25(1) of the German TDDDG), which you can give or refuse in a consent dialog before the first video.
- Voluntary: The video ad is voluntary. You can use the app in full without it; you only miss the temporary unlock.
- Profiling: With your consent, Google may use your data to build interest profiles for personalised ads. Without that consent, Google only shows non-personalised or limited ads. No automated decision with legal effect on you (Art. 22 GDPR) takes place.
- Withdrawal: at any time in the app under “Settings → Ad privacy choices”.
- Transfers outside the EU: Google may transfer data to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

7. Storage period
Data on your device stays stored until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Data that Google processes for advertising is subject to Google's retention periods (see the Google Privacy Policy). We keep billing data from Google Play (section 5) for as long as legal retention obligations require (up to ten years, depending on the record) and delete it afterwards. Beyond that, we store no data about you.
8. What we don't do
We run no server of our own, use no analytics or tracking tools and do not sell data.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. We ourselves only process billing data about purchases (section 5). So that we can reliably match a purchase, please give us the order number from Google's purchase confirmation (it starts with “GPA.”) for questions about a purchase. Requests about advertising and payment data are usually directed to Google; we are happy to help at the email address above.
10. Changes
If the app changes in a way that processes further data, this policy will be updated.
